ARTICLE IV: DUES AND OTHER FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS
Section 1: Annual Dues
a. All active and associate members shall pay annual dues.
b. Advisory and affiliate members shall pay annual dues.
c. Dues will be set from time to time by the Executive Committee.
d. Inactive members must pay all appropriate past and current dues, as specified in Article III, Section 7 (c), to maintain the
right to attend regular meetings.
e. Sustaining and honorary members shall pay no dues.
f. Residents and fellows still in training shall pay no dues.
Section 2: Payment
a. Dues shall be payable the first day of the fiscal year, July 1.
b. The Executive Director shall send a dues notice to each member by this date.
c. Members whose dues are not paid within one month after the first day of the fiscal year will be notified by the
Executive Director by registered or certified mail and an additional charge of $5.00 will be levied against each such member.
d. Members whose dues are not paid within two months after the first day of the fiscal year shall be moved from active,
associate, advisory, or affiliate membership to inactive membership.
Section 3: Special Assessment
a. Special assessments may be levied by a three-fourths vote of the membership.
b. Such expense shall be prorated equally among active and associate members.
c. Members whose assessment charges are not paid by one month after billing will be notified by the Executive Director
by registered or certified mail and an additional charge of $5.00 will be levied against each such member.
d. Members whose assessment charges are not paid within two months after billing shall be moved from active or
associate membership to inactive membership.
e. Residents and fellows still in training shall pay no special assessments.
Section 4: Levies
Expenses incurred during meetings and other functions of the society will be prorated among those in attendance.
